El fin de año tuve una experiencia única cerca de la ciudad de México. Todo empezó eligiendo alojamiento para fin de año, estábamos a 20 días de terminar el año e inicié mi búsqueda en airbnb.com; pero todo estaba prácticamente ocupado, las playas especialmente llenas ya que a todos nos encanta huir del frío.

In New Year’s Eve I had the most amazing experience near to Mexico City. It all started while I was choosing a place to stay for that season, just 20 days before the year ended so I checked at airbnb.com but everything was occupied, beaches were full because all of us love to run away from cold.

Decidí buscar algo cerca de la ciudad de México para no tener que pelearme con aerolíneas, ya que en verdad la época es de locos, y encontré este precioso lugar a solo hora y media de la ciudad y con el clima perfecto:

I decided to find something near the city because I didn’t want to fight with Airlines; it’s truly a mad season, so I found this space that is just an hour and a half far away from Mexico City and with perfect weather:

Las fotografías hablan por sí solas. Casa Meztitla es una residencia arquitectónica que se fusiona amigablemente con la naturaleza de la zona, su proximidad con el cerro del Tepozteco te permite aprovechar la calma y paz del rededor.

The pictures speak by themselves.  Casa Meztitla is an architectural residence that friendly merges with the nature of the area, its proximity to the Tepozteco hill allows you take advantage of the peace and quiet surroundings.

Encontrarás que es un espacio abierto, sumamente amplio, de techos altos, ventanales gigantes; una casa que te invita a relajarte. Te lo recomiendo ampliamente; si estás harto del estrés del día a día y deseas desconectarte de la rutina, debes visitarlo.

You will find a really large open space, with high roofs, giant windows; a house that invites you to relax. I totally recommend it; if you are tired of daily stress and you want to disconnect yourself from the routine, you need to visit it.

Hay que ser responsables y mantener las áreas comunes limpias; además, todo el sistema hidráulico es reutilizable, tiene un pozo con sistemas de filtrado cuyo funcionamiento te explicarán los encargados del lugar muy amablemente. Además, cuenta con paneles solares que ayudarán a tener la alberca y el jacuzzi caliente.

You have to be responsible and keep the common areas clean; also, there’s a reusable hydraulic system, it has a pod with filters that the hosts will kindly explain to you, and above all, it has solar panels that will help keeping the pool and Jacuzzi warm.

Debes tener en cuenta que es un sitio sin televisión, y hay 3 habitaciones más por lo que puede haber más huéspedes en  la cocina, sala y piscina, como en cualquier hotel. Además, hay animales conviviendo contigo, 2 perros, 3 gatos y quizá un pequeño visitante que baje de la montaña. Si eres una persona de aventura, tienes el Tepozteco a escasos minutos para llegar a su cima y disfrutar una increíble vista. También está el centro de la ciudad para dar un paseo o comer algo fuera.

You have to keep in mind that there’s no TV and there’re 3 other rooms besides yours, so you could find more guests in the kitchen, living room and pool, like in any other hotel. There’re also animals living there, 2 dogs, 3 cats and maybe a cute visitor coming down from the hill to say hi. If you are an adventurer, you have the Tepozteco hill really close so you can reach to the top of it and have an amazing view. Also, the downtown is just 15 minutes away so you can take a walk there or eat something.

Sin duda, un sitio que debes visitar alguna vez en tu vida, para mí fue como anillo al dedo, necesitaba unos días de descanso así que la mayor parte de mi estancia ni siquiera salí del lugar, disfruté de estar sentada a lado de la alberca trabajando en el blog, o recostada en una hamaca actualizando mis redes, llevé comida para preparar durante los días de mi alojamiento y no necesité nada más.

Definitely, it’s a place you have to visit at least once in your life. For me, it fitted like a ring, I needed to take a break from the city, so most of the time I didn’t even get out of the house, I enjoyed the to be sited next to the pool working on my blog, or laying in the hammock updating my social media, I brought food to prepare everything during my stay and I needed nothing else.
